Comments: The history of the first all African-American radio station in the United States is told with extraordinary detail in this book. WDAI was a pioneering radio station and this book is the best I've found on the very early days of rock 'n' roll radio.

Comments: I highly recommend this book about the early years of progressive rock radio, as related by famed Los Angeles disc jockey Jim Ladd. It is quite humorous at times, and an excellent read. Even those with only a casual interest in radio should enjoy it.
