Two London radio legends, one legendary station.
Dick Williams appears as a guest on Joe Duchesne's CJBK morning show and it's all fun as they reminisce about old tunes and old times.
CJBK was one of five London stations Williams appeared on during a career which spanned more than six-and-a-half decades. The Tall One was also at CFPL (three times), CKSL, CHLO, CKQM and CJBK. He also appeared in several major U.S. markets, including Oakland, San Diego, Sacramento and Cincinnati. Williams died January 10, 1924 at the age of 83. He worked right to the end - and beyond - with his final CFPL show airing a few days after he died!
Duchesne had a five-year run as CJBK morning man before leaving to head Muskoka-Parry Sound Broadcasting in 1979, where he did mornings at CFBK. Duchesne sold Muskoka-Parry Sound Broadcasting in 1994.
