Week of June 4, 2023

Talent: DAN NEAVERTH

Date: June, 1991
Time: 46:12 (unscoped)

Few jocks can claim the longevity in radio of Dan Neaverth.

The legendary jock started in radio as a teenager at Couldersport, Pennsylvania, in 1957 and was still
going strong as an octogenarian before parting ways with WECK in his native Buffalo in 2020.

In between was an unmatched career which included 26 years at WKBW/WWKB (1962-1988) and 15 years as morning man at WHTT-FM (1989-2004). Eighteen of Neaverth's years at 'KB was in mornings, so he can claim 33 years as Buffalo's morning mayor.

This aircheck just two years into Neaverth's time at WHTT-FM gives you a good idea of what he was all about.
