It's a chilly spring evening in Fort Worth and Ron Selden is playing the hits of the day and a few oldies too.

KXOL had a good run as a Top 40 outlet, 20 years beginning in 1956. Comedians George Carlin and Jack Burns entertained there in the late '50s, and future CBS newsman Bob Schieffer worked at KXOL as a newsman. Chuck Dunaway - who starred on both WIXY and WKYC in Cleveland - was a jock there. Also on the KXOL alumni list: Rod Roddy of "The Price is Right" fame.

KXOL ditched Top 40 for country in 1976. A series of format changes followed before the station - now known as KMNY - settled on Spanish-language Christian in 2014.
