Go east, young man.

Best known for his success in the Big Apple, Jay Reynolds jocked mostly in the mid-west over the years. The native of Mount Vernon, Illinois had an impressive resume that included WDGY Minneapolis, WNDE Indianapolis, WMAK Nashville and KOAI Des Moines.

Reynolds also spent three years in afternoon drive at WIFE Indianapolis. But he wasn't exactly married to WIFE, leaving in 1968 to take over the all-night slot at WABC New York two years later. Reynolds spent six years burning the midnight oil at WABC, becoming the station's longest-serving all-night jock.

Jay Reynolds died in March 1996. He was 61.
