Joy was in the air and on the air whenever Ron Lundy spoke into a mic.
One of rock radio's most cheerful and upbeat personalities, Lundy was a jock who obviously loved the music and loved being on the air. His popularity is evidenced by the fact he was able to thrive for 32 years at the #1 market in the U.S. at two of its most popular stations, WABC and WCBS-FM.
Lundy was one of three ex-WABCers at WCBS-FM in 1986. Morning man Harry Harrison joined 'CBS in 1980 after departing WABC just a few months before. Cousin Brucie did WCBS-FM shows on Wednesday and Saturday nights beginning in 1985. Dan Ingram joined for weekends in 1991.
