The Bay City Rollers are coming, and Jim Van Horne is on fire.
After newsman Dave Taylor confirms that the Rollers will be performing in Toronto as scheduled, Van Horne puts on the type of high-energy performance that made him a CHUM favourite. It's the stuff that convinced Billboard Magazine to name him Disc Jockey of the Year in 1972 - the only Canadian ever to win that honour.
Van Horne went from music jock to sports jock in 1984 as he helped launch TSN (The Sports Network). He returned to CHUM as a sports talk show host in 2001-2002 during CHUM's short-lived "Team" format.
