Norm N. Nite was a man for all media.
Born Norman Durma on January 25, 1941, the man known as "Mr. Music" grew up during the rock 'n' roll Top 40 era and made it his life's work. Not only did he play the hits, he also wrote about them. Nite began his career in radio in 1961 and six years later was already jocking in his hometown of Cleveland first at WHK and then WGAR. He moved to New York in 1973 for gigs at WNBC and WCBS-FM. Later he was heard on the nationally syndicated "U.S. Hall of Fame Show" and "The Fifties on 5" on Sirius-XM. His many TV credits include being a guest VJ on MTV.
Nite has also penned four highly reviewed books - "ROCKON; The Solid Gold Years", "ROCKON; The Years of Change"; "ROCKON; The Video Revolution" and the "ROCKON Almanac; The First Four Decades of Rock 'N' Roll." He was also a driving force in helping bring the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to Cleveland, and in fact once hosted a regular show live from the Hall of Fame on WCBS-FM.
The exhbit opens with John Bohannon, NBC network news, and Mitch Levy with sports and weather. Then Norm N. Nite rides the Night Train.
